NMBC's Adopt-a-Bird Program
Please contact the NMBC if you have a bird in need of a new
home:
The NMBC Hotline (232-8298)
The NMBC Believes that all captive birds have the right to
the best possible life that their human companions can provide.
This includes a good diet, adequate and secure living quarters,
social interaction and avian veterinary care.
Birds may lose their homes when their owner's circumstances
change. The NMBC has established an adoption program to find
homes for local birds in need. The goal is to place these
birds in a new home in as stress-free a manner as possible.
This is a locally-maintained program only. New homes are
only considered within the New Mexico area. If you are interested
in adopting a bird in need and are a NMBC member in good standing
for at least six months, you may fill out the form and submit
it at the next meeting.
